**Job Title: Maintenance Person**
**Job Summary**:
At Ramakko's Source for Adventure, we are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Person to join our team. As a Maintenance Person, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the upkeep and functionality of our facilities. Building Maintenance workers perform an array of functions that will include but are not limited to maintenance & repairs related to buildings, grounds and equipment, in one or more areas such as minor electrical maintenance, plumbing, painting, patching and grounds-keeping.
Workers are required to lift up to 50 pounds, walk or stand long periods of time, and follow the dress code as outlined in our employee procedures manual.
**Responsibilities**:
Establish, monitor, and carry out preventative maintenance procedures and schedules for buildings, equipment and grounds. Ensure building and equipment meet all safety, security and fire regulations and policies. Make recommendations for major repairs and purchases to supervisor.
- Monitor work performed by contractors, prepares estimates of labour and material costs, contacts external contractors and trades people to obtain quotes and arranges for major repairs and maintenance work.
- Collect and remove garbage and recyclable materials and ensures the safe disposal of hazardous waste.
- Maintain external areas such as entranceways, parking lots, making sure these areas meet all safety, security and fire regulations and policies.
- Complete and maintains related records such as maintenance logs and security incident reports.
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with the team to prioritize maintenance needs and ensure efficient operations.
**Requirements**:
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Excellent customer service skills to interact with staff and vendors professionally.
**Job Type**: Part-time
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 9 - 12 per week
