Warehouse Order Picker

**TWO SHIFTS AVAILABLE**:

- 4/10’s: Tuesday - Friday (12:30pm to 11:00pm)
- 5/8's: Sunday (11:30am to 8:00pm), Tuesday - Friday (2:30pm to 11:00pm)

**INCENTIVE:**:After completion of training, earning potential of up to $1.50/hr. in performance incentives and $0.50/hour increase following probation.

**WHAT THE ROLE IS**:
Order Pickers perform a wide variety of duties to fulfill Islands West customer orders. Pickers will perform duties such as physically pick product from locations, sticker and load orders onto pallets while focusing on quality and accuracy. Duties also include loading pallets on trucks, replenishing each's/ lbs. locations, assisting with breaking pallets down at time of receiving, and general warehouse housekeeping.

**WHAT YOU WILL DO**:

- Efficient operation of order picking, checking product for quality and accuracy, filling shorts, loading, and shipping
- Checking and auditing picked orders for quality and accuracy.
- Practices a safe, organized working environment.
- Works with mínimal supervision and from the guidance of their Supervisor/Operations Manager.
- Conducts inventory counts as directed.
- Ensures only the best possible product for the customer with great attention to detail.
- Attends as directed, all team meetings, training meetings and/or professional development sessions.
- Operate or perform other duties as directed by the Supervisor/Operations Manager.

**EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION**:

- Prior experience in food manufacturing or assembly line work considered an asset.
- Pallet-jack and forklift experience an asset.

**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS**:

- Ability to safely bend, twist and lift up to 50 lbs. on a consistent basis.
- Ability to walk and stand for the duration of scheduled shift.
- Ability to work in a refrigerated environment.

**GENERAL**

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Food Safe Level 1 (Islands West will provide).
- Hepatitis A Vaccination (Islands West will provide).
- Must have valid work authorization in Canada.
- As this role is onsite, you must currently reside in Victoria, BC.
