Your Opportunity:
An Ambulance Readiness Attendant (ARA) play a crucial role in ensuring that ambulances are always ready to respond effectively to emergencies. Responsibilities will include: Meticulously ensure that every aspect of the ambulance, including the cab, patient compartment, equipment, and the vehicle itself, is clean, checked, and in optimal working order. Utilize digital tools and checklists to guarantee that EMS staff are fully prepared. This involves completing and submitting digital vehicle and equipment checks, discarding and replacing expired items, and restocking supplies as needed. Repositioning ambulances within and adjacent to the Mega Station to which you are assigned. Job duties may adapt based on ongoing organizational experience and the understanding of related roles and responsibilities.

Description:
As a Service Worker II, you will be responsible for readying supplies, and cleaning/disinfecting instruments and specialty equipment for immediate use/reuse by healthcare staff. You will distribute and replenish patient care supplies, perform quality control tests on equipment and record maintenance data. You may also transport patients (clients/residents), equipment, lab specimens, blood and blood products, and patient charts. You will report any concerns regarding supplies and safety issues to Unit Managers and perform other duties as required. In addition, you will ensure that patient care areas and other assigned areas are accurately stocked and that specialty equipment required by the healthcare staff is available.

**Required Qualifications**:
Grade 12 or equivalent.

**Additional Required Qualifications**:
Alberta Class 5 Driver's License in good standing (6 demerits or less and no current suspension). Required to demonstrate vehicle and maneuvering competency within or adjacent to the EMS facility. Basic understanding of cleaning and disinfection and inventory management. Basic understanding of automotive components, operations, and maintenance inspections. Basic computer skills. Proficient in English Able to work independently and collaboratively Meet physical demands, such as lifting up to 80 pounds, climbing in and out of ambulances, standing and walking for long periods, bending, crouching, and twisting without restrictions.

**Preferred Qualifications**:
Preference will be given to applicants with experience in hospital or institutional cleaning, knowledge of machines and tools, car detailing, and driving larger vehicles. Relevant education, training, and customer service experience are also considered.
