Semi and Tandem Driver

W.F. Botkin is currently seeking both a Semi Driver and a Tandem Driver. This position is responsible ensuring materials or equipment get to and from site.
Job Duties:
Haul material in trucks to site unloading area. Load and move dirt, rocks, equipment or other materials.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
Perform basic truck maintenance, i.e. grease, check tires, etc.
Report any vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to vehicle(s)
Work closely with site crews and follow instructions from supervisors
Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes taken, and deliveries made.
Ensure cargo reaches its destination in a timely manner
**Requirements**:
2-4 years experience operating a semi or tandem
HAS TO BE ABLE TO DRIVE A MANUAL TRANSMISSION
Valid Class 1A drivers license with the ability to get to and from site; Clean drivers abstract
Ability to perform strenuous, physical tasks daily.
Ability to work in a high paced environment
Be able to drive for long periods of time
Flexibility to work very long hours and overtime as needed
Able to tarp, access and enter boxes
