**Overview**:
The Marketing and Graphic Design Manager acts as an extension and support to the Senior Marketing Manager and will take a supportive role in the marketing and graphic design initiatives for the South Okanagan Events Centre Complex, including the South Okanagan Events Centre, Penticton Trade & Convention Centre, Penticton Vees Junior A Hockey Club and Memorial Arena.

**Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following**:

- Responsible for the coordination and development of collateral materials such as social media content, promotional pieces, media releases, sales materials, advertisements, schedules, newsletters, etc. for the Penticton Trade & Convention Centre and South Okanagan Events Centre (SOEC).
- Manage the SOEC Complex’s social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn) and maintain a consistent voice throughout each platform.
- Manage Google Business profiles for the SOEC Complex.
- Participate in sales and marketing meetings to add creative ideas to brainstorming sessions to increase events and revenue.
- Provide marketing support for familiarization tours, site inspections, client events, concerts, family shows, sporting events and other miscellaneous events.
- Assist in public relations efforts such as press conferences, media releases, story pitches, media drops, etc.
- Support in the development and implementation of marketing campaigns to maximize event awareness and exposure for aforementioned events.
- Assist in the communication and support efforts for other departments such as Corporate Partnerships.
- Assist in the coordination and creation of internet and database marketing programs and initiatives.
- Assist in the compilation of event settlement information.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

**Qualifications (educational, experience and basic knowledge requirements)**:

- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Marketing, Communications or Sports/Business Management or minimum of 3 years marketing experience preferred.
- Experienced in Adobe software (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) and/or Canva.
- Excellent written and oral skills, including presentation experience.
- Knowledge of public relations.
- Knowledge of social media and analytics.
- Knowledge of website maintenance and management (WordPress)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook, and Internet Explorer.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Strong work ethic.
- Creative and proactive problem solver.
- Must be able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and selected holidays.
- Knowledge of Database Marketing Software
