- Are you deliverable-driven with a high attention to detail and enjoys working in a dynamic and challenging environment and excited by change and new challenges? Nuovo Parts Canada is looking for a Laser Scanning and Drafting Technician. The role will primarily be responsible for precision 3D scanning of field, shop and warehouse projects with an additional responsibility of the creation of drawings. This would be a great opportunity for a recent or upcoming graduate looking to expand their knowledge and skills._

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Operate & maintain specialized 3D scanning equipment
- Operate & maintain metrology hand tools - verniers, micrometers etc
- Analyze and interpret 3D scan data
- Conduct 3D & 2D modelling/design activities
- Overseeing assembly/part design and fabrication
- Conduct material identification with in-house tooling and/or vendor services
- Conduct quality control on internally manufactured or vendor supplied components
- Understand Blackstone Group of Companies Capabilities
- Liaise between end-user, parts/equipment manufacturer & Blackstone Engineering
- Onsite work requiring travel to customer and vendor sites, as well as Blackstone and partner facilities required on occasion based on location, urgent need, customer schedule, etc.
- Other duties as inspired or required.

**_ EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE_**
- Engineering Design Technology Graduate
- Strong understanding of CAD packages
- Available for travel and field work as required of the projects
- Able to work in all environmental conditions and weather
- Understanding of machining processes, NDE, coatings, critical surfaces
- Knowledge of material properties
- Knowledge of standard mechanical components: sheaves, bearings, keys, fasteners
- Strong analytical and decision‐making abilities in resolving technical problems
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Strong communication and organizational skills
