**Grand River Foods Ltd,** a Progressive Food Processing Plant is seeking a motivated and experienced **Maintenance Planner** to join our Maintenance team. If you have the following education, training, or experience, we want to hear from you:
**Purpose**

Reporting to the Manager, the Maintenance Planner is responsible for establishing maintenance stores and store systems by working with all Maintenance Dept personnel and responsible for the scheduling of work orders, preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on all equipment also for the whole facility.

**Job Functions /Responsibilities**

Planning:

- To plan and control all work requests, also all predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance performed inside the company including contractors;
- Create procedures and training for the maintenance management system;
- Create KPI to provide failure analysis/trending;
- Create and review the preventive/predictive maintenance plan for all machines and building installation including man time expected, parts needed, and tools.
- Competently select preventive and predictive maintenance strategies, activities, and scheduling of maintenance daily based, weekly, and so on;
- Understand spares requirements, the time tasks really take, and the effectiveness of the planned work to mitigate the impact of failure;
- Bringing together the plant, the resources, and the spares and making an individual accountable for completion;
- Track all PMs with fail status to be planned for repair;
- Guarantee the parts and tools are available for the planned maintenance;
- Create and track the maintenance backlog, labor utilization and the PM completion rate, and other effective KPI measurements;
- Uses best practice workflow controls and task management practices;
- Applies job risk assessment and risk mitigation proactively to stay in front of potential problems;
- Intervention from first principles to prevent failure causes and failure modes;
- Develop work quality control standards and set quality assurance tests;
- Identify and specify key asset operating conditions and component health parameters;
- Must Perform Overtime & Weekend work as required;
- Competent in project management of multidisciplinary crews on a large industrial plant;
- Able to develop a complete Maintenance Budget;
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a maintenance planner;
- Experience in a Food Processing Plant is an asset;
- Be success-driven and have a “can-do” attitude;
- Have a good safety record;
**Skills**:

- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Be able to work independently, as well as be a strong team player
- High-Level planning and scheduling technique
- Proficient User of the Operation's computerized information management systems, also and the ability to work with complex data
- Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical engineering is an asset
- Working knowledge of automated machinery
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Project management experience a plus
- Excellent knowledge of Mechanical Systems/Hydraulic and pneumatic.
