We are currently recruiting **Security Guards **to join our growing team providing security services in a variety of different settings ranging from healthcare institutions to retail and industrial locations. **We are currently looking to fill 1:1 Security Guard / resident safety personnel positions that will be working within long-term care homes in Guelph.**

We are seeking licensed Security Guards for **full-time **hours

**Security Guard responsibilities**:

- Protecting people, assets & property at client locations
- Monitoring access points using surveillance & alarm systems
- Assist with High Intensity Needs Residents in Long Term Care settings on a 1:1 basis
- Conducting preventive surveillance
- Providing impeccable customer service
- Preventing fire, theft & vandalism through vigilance
- Verifying & inspecting all safety equipment
- Enforcing client property regulations
- Writing reports
- Take temperatures for the staff/visitors who enter the client's property
- Assist with screening measures such as asking specific screening questions and other measures that may be implemented

**Security Guard requirements**:

- Valid Standard First Aid & CPR certification **(Must be from a Red Cross trained organization)**:

- Must pass Vulnerable Police Check (VPC) **(REQUIRED)**:

- **3** COVID-19 Vaccinations (required in LTC)
- Valid Driver's License **(REQUIRED)**:

- Own vehicle or reliable method of transportation **(REQUIRED)**:

- Previous experience working as a security guard or previous experience within Long Term Care or working with the elderly is an asset
- Full availability including nights, days, afternoons, weekends & statutory holidays, 8 to 10 hour shifts
- Proactive, attention-to-detail, self-motivated, team players
- Please note, this is not a position suitable for students who are not able to work 8 hour scheduled shifts or cannot work 35-40 hours per week._

Pay: $16.55-$18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 48 per week
