We are looking for a Legal Counsel team member to help grow our business and contribute to our future.

The Legal Counsel is responsible to provide legal advice, opinions and to make recommendations to the corporation on matters to ensure that corporate legal liability exposure is minimized, managed and understood. This includes drafting legal agreements and documentation, providing legal advice and opinion, recommending options, identifying potential impacts and risks. Reporting to the Senior Director, Legal Services & Assistant General Counsel, other highlights include:

- Legal advice and support to ISC, a publicly traded company listed on the TSX, and its subsidiaries, on a broad range of commercial matters in support of ISC’s business initiatives and operations.
- Work on complex commercial transactions, business development opportunities and/or Merger & Acquisition matters.
- Draft, review and negotiate a wide variety of commercial contracts including technology agreements, master service agreements and statements of work, transactional contracts and other strategic agreements.
- Provide advice and support on governance matters, privacy, policies, compliance and/or information security.
- Monitor and provide legal direction and advice with respect to changes in law.

What you’ll need:

- A Bachelor of Laws Degree or Juris Doctor from an accredited institution and membership or eligibility for membership in the Law Society of Saskatchewan.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in corporate and commercial matters.
- Experience or an interest in technology, governance, privacy or information security would be considered an asset.
