**Job Summary**

**Duties**
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote cognitive, social, and emotional growth.
- Create a safe and welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Monitor and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians on their development.
- Foster positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues through effective communication.
- Collaborate with special education professionals to support children with diverse needs.
- Maintain classroom organization, ensuring materials are accessible and conducive to learning.
- Utilize computer skills for lesson planning, record-keeping, and communication purposes.
- Lead classroom activities that promote teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving skills.

**Qualifications**
- Must hold a valid BC Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Certificate and First Aid Certificate
- **Minimum 2 years of experience** working in a preschool classroom within a structured, curriculum-based childcare setting.
- Demonstrated experience supporting children in an educational or childcare environment.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of special education practices is considered an asset.
- Strong communication skills—both verbal and written—to effectively engage with children, families, and colleagues.
- Excellent organizational skills to plan and manage classroom activities efficiently.
- Proven time management abilities to balance multiple responsibilities in a dynamic classroom setting.
- Leadership qualities that foster confidence, curiosity, and positive learning experiences among young children.
- Basic computer literacy for administrative and documentation tasks related to teaching.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent, Casual
