Job Description

Saskatchewan Health Authority - Saskatoon seeks Family Physicians or Royal College eligible/certified Physicians with recognized Methadone and/or Buprenorphine/Naloxone Initiating Prescriber education to work with an interdisciplinary team to support Opioid Agonist Therapy (OAT). The team consists of Addiction Counsellors, Nurse Practitioners, concurrent disorder psychiatry, office support and access to a broader community team as necessary. Physicians currently providing services offer mentoring for physicians joining the clinic.

The goal of OAT in Saskatchewan is to provide safe, accessible, effective and consistent treatment for individuals with opioid use disorder (OUD).

**Location**: Services are provided at two locations in Saskatoon (Mayfair Clinic 504 33rd Street West & 1611 20th Street West).

Job Qualifications

Completion of a methadone and/or buprenorphine/naloxone workshop/course and mentoring requirements as required and recognized by the College of Physicians and Surgeons (CPSS) Opioid Agonist Therapy Program.
Methadone and/or Buprenorphine/Naloxone Initiating Prescribers will pursue ongoing education relevant to Opioid Agonist Therapy (OAT).
