Ljunghall Canada produces high pressure aluminum die cast components to support the transportation sector. Our Canadian plant is currently looking for a Stockroom Attendant.

Reporting to the Senior Buyer, the Stockroom Attendant will be responsible for the purchasing of stock, receiving inventory, monitoring inventory levels and ordering. They will work closely with all departments to assist with logistics and efficient movement of product from stockroom to internal departments. The Stockroom Attendant is responsible for maintenance and updating of files and driving continuous improvement.

**Primary Responsibilities**
- Issue purchase orders for stock replenishment
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels at all locations within the facility and purchase stock as required, keeping consistent with the company’s negotiated pricing
- Maintain the price database in SAP and continue to build and maintain an inventory database
- Develop and sustain an effective filing system to maintain detailed purchase records and other documents as needed
- Ensure physical inventory is organized as per the inventory plan and perform weekly, monthly, and yearly cycle counts
- Coordinate all receiving activities and assist with the logistics of incoming deliveries by working closely with the shipping and receiving departments
- Support the day-to-day administrative operation of the Purchasing department and work closely with Buyer and Purchasing Manager to ensure efficiency and appropriate flow of materials
- Drive continuous improvement of logistics and efficient movement of product from stockroom to departments
- Attend meetings, takes minutes, and prepare action sheets
- From time-to-time coordinate freight and package shipments

**Your Qualifications**
- 1-2 years of related experience
- Experience in a manufacturing or shop environment considered beneficial
- Microsoft office suite experience and skills
- Experience creating and maintaining scheduling
- Microsoft office suite experience

**Desired Skills**
- Experience with SAP or other ERP systems considered an asset
- Forklift experience considered an asset
- Strong capabilities in planning, organizing and process control
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, operate proactively and work as a team
- Fast and accurate data entry

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
