**The Pickle Barrel is looking for a Line Cook at our Newmarket location.**
The Pickle Barrel began with a mission. We believed that amazing dining experiences didn’t need to be elitist, so we began a restaurant that combined ‘quality’ with ‘incredible value’. Today we have restaurants all across the Greater Toronto Area, with a menu that offers over 200 items brought to you by over 1,000 employees

We are looking for individuals that are passionate about food, hospitality, and providing their Guests with a Perfect Dining Experience to join our Pickle Barrel family
**What you will do in this role**:
- Complete line checks to ensure that enough product is prepared and kept ready for service
- Ensure the quality of food is outstanding each and every time
- Plate food according to specifications to create a Perfect Dining Experience
- Perform opening and closing procedures as instructed
- Keep your work area, utensils and product equipment in a clean, sanitized state at all times
- Control waste and spoilage
- Follow safe food handling procedures at all times
- Adhere to all Food Safety policies and procedures
- Complete Food Safety logs
- Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
- Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
- Answer, report and follow managers instructions
- Clean up station
- Stock inventory appropriately
- Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
**What we are looking for**:
- Bonus points for previous experience as a Line Cook
- Excellent communication, organization and social skills
- Energetic and self-confident with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Follows standards and procedures
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment
- Reliable and punctual
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- Willing to help with prep and dishes as needed
- Food Safety certified or willing to obtain within 3 months

**Experience**:
- Culinary: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:
- Food Safe, SafeCheck, Food Handler or equivalent (preferred)
