Position: Retirement Home Attendant, Unregulated Care Provider

Part-time Nights and relief

On a daily basis, our Retirement Home Attendants will enhance the quality of life of the Residents to maintain exceptional quality of practice in keeping with the standards and expectations set out by governing bodies and internal policies and standards of care.

**Duties and Responsibilities**

  • Provide excellent service in terms of medication administration and support to our residents by coordinating with various stakeholders including physicians and pharmacists ensuring a safe organized environment.
  • Assist with documents management, and ensure treatments are going on as per Medication Administration Record (MAR).
  • Ensure successful completion of the initial and annual medication administration training and sign off by the Assistant Director of Care.
  • Assist Residents with activities of daily living, bathing, housekeeping, laundry and meal service
  • Other duties as required.

**Qualifications**

  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team, to prioritize tasks in order of urgency.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and comprehension skills.
  • Developed creative problem-solving skills to look at the “big picture”.
  • Must be physically strong and will be able to lift up to 50 Lbs.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification preferred but not mandatory.
