**Job Summary**:
**Key Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Assist Veterinarians with surgical, dentals, physical exams and therapeutic procedures. Utilize gold-standard patient care techniques, ensuring operating room environment complies with all aseptic standards and protocols.
- Collect blood draws, insertion of IV catheters and perform laboratory tests such as urinalysis, cytology and in house blood work with our in house analyzers.
- Administer medications and vaccines under the direction of a veterinarian.
- Produce diagnostics radiographs using our digital X-ray machine.
- Administer, monitor, and prepare animals and equipment for patients under going anesthesia and analgesia.
- Collect accurate medical history, chief complaints, vital signs and present to veterinarian.
- Operate and maintain state-of-the-art veterinary medical equipment, exam rooms, surgical suite following health and safety regulations in accordance with veterinary profession standards.
- Provide excellent veterinary nursing care and client education in a professional and ethical manner through the synthesis of veterinary theory, principles and concepts (including Fear Free techniques) within the scope of regulations dictated by the provincial governing laws of the profession.
- Maintain an appropriate inventory of all medical supplies as determined by veterinary office inventory control procedures inventory maintenance.
- Manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

**Requirements**:

- Certification or Associate Degree in Veterinary Technology or Doctorate of Veterinarian Medicine (DVM) from an non-Canadian post-secondary institution.
- Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or hospital will be an asset but not mandatory.
- Proficiency in laboratory procedures including sample collection and analysis.
- Strong communication skills to interact with pet owners and team members effectively
- Interest and experience in Integrative Medicine is an asset but not mandatory.
- Ozone Therapy experience and knowledge is an asset but not mandatory.

**Nice-to-Have Skills**:

- Experience in laboratory procedures for analyzing samples.
- Experience in Day Smart - Vetter Software.

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
