**Overview**

The Production Supervisor oversees manufacturing operations, supervision of staff and performance, process optimization, documentation, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) compliance.

**Main Responsibilities**
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the Formulation, Encapsulation, Finishing and packaging departments; coordinate and plan production batches to meet schedule and customer orders
- Supervise employees (performance, training, vacation, overtime etc.)
- Train new employees on GMP and SOPs and is responsible for continuous training on GMP for existing employees
- Respond proactively to operational issues; initiate communication with other support departments (engineering, quality, maintenance, R&D) to solve issuesand provide preventative measures
- Ensure that all operations are performed according to Batch Record instruction, work instructions, SOPs, and policies
- Collaborate with Quality to ensure compliance with GMP and ensure redaction and follow up on deviation reports, CAPA, SOP and training plan; Actively participate to develop a quality culture
- Update production documents once manufacturing is completed
- Management and monitoring the performance of equipment and employees
- Supervise, improve and maintain control of operational flows
- Participate in the improvement of processes with their employees
- Ensure that measures are in place to schedule production
- Back-up for this role is the Production Manager

**Qualifications**
- BSc in Science or Chemical Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum five (5) years’ experience in manufacturing or packaging experience in a GMP environment
- Experience in a Health Canada or FDA regulated environment preferred
- Three (3) years of supervisory experience
- Experience with ERP system (Rootstock) is a strong asset
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills
- Initiate and manage change
- Lean manufacturing training and demonstrated capability (strong asset)
- Strong work ethic
- Functional bilingualism (English and French), both spoken and written are required

**Education**:

- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

**Experience**:
