**JOB PURPOSE**:
The position has responsibility for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of equipment in the tool stores department. The Warehouse Person must have a thorough knowledge of tools and is also tasked with having available equipment that is reliable and properly maintained with inventory levels adequate to meet regional and job site demands as needed.

**JOB STRUCTURE**:
This position reports to the Manager Construction Equipment & Facilities.

**ACCOUNTABILITIES**:
1. Key Responsibilities.
- Conduct inspections of and preventative maintenance on hand, air and power tools.
- Cleaning, Inspecting and preparing equipment for shipment to job sites and regional warehouses.
- Ensuring tools are repaired to a standard that meets or exceeds B&W requirements for quality, safety and visual condition.
- Have general knowledge of the tools of all tools in the fleet, their general use and proper function.
- Adhere to all Safety expectations for the role as set out by the Department Manager and Company Policy.
- Ensure all required documentation and tagging is completed to properly track the maintenance history of all equipment.

2. Additional Responsibilities;
- Use all required P.P.E. for the task being performed and maintain condition of said P.P.E. to ensure the safety of yourself and others always.
- Maintain a safe, clean and tidy work area at all times.
- Use proper safe lifting practices during material handling activities.

**KNOWLEDGE**:

- Minimum High School Diploma. (required).
- Knowledge of tools including how to inspect, repair and maintain them. (Minimum 2Yr’s Preferred).
- Experience with general electrical repairs such as replacing plugs and light fixtures on low voltage equipment and accessories.
- General knowledge of warehousing and inventory management best practices. (Minimum 2Yr’s Preferred).

**WORKING CONDITIONS**:
This position requires sitting, standing/walking bending & lifting. Repetitious workload, must be able to lift up to 50 Lb.’s. Approximately 30% time involvement on the computer and frequent requirement to sort, search and file documents. Requires frequent need to give concentrated attention, for extended periods with one or two senses at a time, where stimuli are changing. Must be very alert due to lift trucks, loud equipment and repair work on shop floor. There is continuous pressure from deadlines, production quotas, accuracy or similar demands. Moderate disruption of family/social life, Employees may be required to work late or come in early to assist with Code 1 shipment. Inventory is completed once a year, during this period of time work hours are 10 hours a day, six days a week until finished.
