**Your role is important**:
Reporting to the Controller, you will be responsible for the planning, organization, and administration of the accounting function for the company. You will supports the Controller in the leadership of accounting activities, including reporting, budget analysis and planning, and tax handling functions in accordance with professional and industry standard.

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform regular vendor reconciliations and investigate on discrepancies
- Prepare monthly sales reports analysis, assess financial performance, and provide recommendations
- Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting and analysis, including budget vs. actual reports, variance analysis and P&L analysis
- Provide insightful variance analysis for selected business functions
- Investigate report discrepancies, identifying root cause, and championing solution-focused problem solving
- Ensure strong internal controls are followed to support the completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of financial reports and operations
- Ensure monthly, quarterly, and annual internal and external reporting is completed in a timely, accurate manner
- Support financial metrics for measuring company performance and operations
- Plan and implement improvements to existing work processes
- Act as a liaison between finance department and other operational departments
- Participate in special projects, as needed

**Qualifications**:

- University Degree and/or College Diploma in Accounting
- Knowledge of IFRS and ASPE
- Minimum of 5 years experience in financial accounting
- Experience in a large organization considered an asset
- Excellent knowledge of accounting, finance and reporting processes
- High-energy individual who can adjustand be flexible to change in working environments
- High level of autonomy and ability to perform well independently
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including confidence with formal presentation of complex material in both small and large group settings
- Superior analytical skills and business acumen
