Stouffville, Canada Oakdale Child and Family Service Full time

To work as part of a team in a residential program for clients with Special Needs
- Supervision and monitoring of clients throughout the night
- Responsible for household chores, cleaning, laundry, breakfast/meal preparation
- Assist clients with personal hygiene, toileting and morning routines
- Maintain regular bed checks to ensure the safety and security of clients
- Complete nightly documentation and client logs
- Participate in staff meetings and training programs as required
- Dispense medication
- Hours of work are based on an overnight awake schedule that includes weekdays/weekends
- Follow Ministry regulations and internal Policies and Procedures

Qualifications/Experience:

- Completion of a post-secondary certificate in DSW, CYW or equivalent Community College/University accredited course/ experience
- Knowledge and experience in Autism Spectrum Disorders and Developmental Challenges, Seizure Disorders, Mental Health
- Experience in working with children/youth with challenging behaviour
- Positive team building and interpersonal skills
- Good interactive/communication skills (verbal and written)
- Good organization and time management
