Intermediate Cyber Security Specialist

**Job Description**: We are currently looking for an experienced Intermediate Cyber Security Specialist to join our Digital and Technology team here at Cineplex. This exciting role reports directly to the Manager, Cyber Security. As the Intermediate Cyber Security Specialist, you must have a strong background in information security with a clear understanding of the challenges of the cyber security ecosystem. The CSS II completes tasks designed to ensure assets are protected from unauthorized access, modification, or destruction and develops modernizations to IT security policies and standards. This role reports into the Cyber Security Manager and serves as a point of escalation to junior or peer analysts. Each Intermediate CCS requires excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and fix security risks. A large part of this role requires the successful applicant to build understanding and awareness of security issues throughout the organization. As a cyber security specialist, you have excellent communication and presentation skills as well as great team working skills, to develop security solutions in collaboration with other information technology professionals. **What the Role Is**: - Keep technology stakeholders informed of changes to their platforms that may impact regular operations - Oversee information security audits, whether by performed by organization or third-party personnel - Work alongside security team members and all other information security personnel - Provide training to information security personnel during onboarding - Assess current technology architecture for vulnerabilities, weaknesses and for possible upgrades or improvement - Implement and oversee technological upgrades, improvements and major changes to the information security environment - Serve as a focal point of contact for the information security team and the organization - Communicate information security goals and new programs effectively with other department managers within the organization - Communicate in an effective manner - Escalate appropriately and timely when a situation threatens the current state. - Aide in the professional development of Junior Cyber Security Analysts. - Triaging effectively to determine business impact and sense of urgency around a security incident - providing prompt attention to incidents with the highest impact to the business - Prompt response to support active incidents. **Qualifications**: **What You Need For Success**: - University / College degree IT security or in a related course of study required. - Master’s degree in IT Security or related field is considered an asset. - Professional Accreditation in IT Security or related certifications considered an asset. - 3-5+ Years of experience in a relevant role - Proven track record in working with internal and external team members while meeting tight timelines **What Sets You Apart From The Crowd**: - Must be proactive and possess strong interpersonal, customer service, communication, and organizational skills - Must be able to aide ongoing projects in conjunction with daily operations - Must be self motivated and be able to manage assigned tasks within the team - Must have the ability to methodically troubleshoot technical security issues - Must be able to handle multiple priorities and manage available resources accordingly in a fast-paced environment. - Must have flexibility with respect to working hours - Ability to travel may be required - A self-learner who loves and can pick up new technologies. - Someone who is focused on the Guest Experience - committed to delivering client satisfaction though effective communication. - A tenacious strategist, an organizer - always comes prepared and offers a "CAN DO" attitude Additional Information Life at Cineplex: Cineplex is synonymous with entertainment.
