**Position Summary**

As one of two Supply Chain Managers, you will provide Parker Canada’s customers with premier customer experiences by having their assigned products at the right place, at the right time, and at the right cost. To be successful, the Supply Chain Manager will focus on people, process and information technology, along with supplier relationships. Scope/Supervision and Interaction: - Have direct reports (approx. 8-10) and will report to the Division Supply Chain Manager. - Accountable to manage the end to end supply chain planning process. - Interact with all levels of division management including Operations, Sales, Engineering, Quality Control, Marketing and Finance. There will also be significant interactions with other Parker supplier divisions and external customers. - Hybrid work environment.
**Responsibilities**

Leadership - Provides leadership by promoting team concepts, coaching, counseling, retaining, mentoring, training, talent management, and individual development. - Drives a culture of accountability and results through strategy deployment and effective performance management. - Continue to develop and engrain the lean problem-solving culture. Supply Planning - Manage the direction and daily activities of the supply planning team. - Provide continually improving premier customer experiences while minimizing inventory and transportation costs through effective planning, vendor relationships and systems expertise. - Act on approved recommendations to provide economical substitutions, avoids potential shortages, adjust to market conditions. Demand Planning - Manage the direction and daily activities of the demand planning team. - Provide leadership in the company S&OP Process and drive the consensus forecasting process both at product and customer level - Expand and evolve demand planning function through use of best-in-class tools, ex. Logility Vendor Management - Monitor and continually improve supplier quality and delivery performance. Transportation Management - Experience in freight management and knowledge of modes of transport(air,ocean,rail) - Knowledgeable in customs processes General - Remain informed of technical developments, market trends, economic changes, specific conditions affecting price and delivery, and related factors that impact the supply chain. - Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing trade publications, establishing networks, and/or participating in professional associations.
**Qualifications**
- 7-10 years of management level experience in inventory planning or purchasing, demand planning and transportation. - 4-year university degree in business or engineering required. MBA preferred. - Recognized certification in supply chain management or purchasing preferred. - Experience in a manufacturing or distribution centre environment - Proven track record of improving supplier performance. - Experience with advanced forecasting / planning systems such as Logility preferred. - Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for effective interface with all internal and external contacts - Must be an innovator and embrace lean enterprise principles and practices - Advanced negotiation skills - Ability to prioritize, meet commitments, take ownership, problem solve and be proactive while working in a team environment and providing excellent customer service - Must understand and embrace the use of new technology to improve supply chain performance
