Main Duties
- Drive ‘World Class Manufacturing’ performance through global best practices in planning & scheduling excellence.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in plant efficiency, material utilization and maintenance procedures.
- Manage the work order process and maintain work order backlogs.
- Develop and maintain the computerized maintenance management system by ensuring all assets and equipment parts are entered with appropriate level of hierarchy.
- Identify critical spare parts and ensure MRO stores inventory is maintained effectively.
- Champion the professional maintenance program by analyzing losses as presented by the Cost Deployment pillar and continually developing and improving PM tasks and frequencies for all equipment and processes.
- Analyze equipment maintenance history for the purpose of identifying and communicating design and operational weaknesses requiring improvement.
- Participate in and support WCM (WAM “World Armacell Mindset”) Pillar initiatives in step with operations and global best practices.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Champion proactive maintenance vs. reactive maintenance methodology through team commitment to root cause corrective actions and follow-up to repairs.
- Review work requests for accuracy and clarity: clear scope of work, realistic completion date, proper lead times, correct equipment identification, proper charge number (if applicable), and discuss details or request follow-up with originator.
- Determine priority and resource requirements for all work requests entered.
- Identify work requiring engineering design and review requirements with engineering.
- Communicate concerns to the Engineering and Maintenance Manager for work which does not appear to be valid or is costly.
- Identify and secure all parts and material required to complete the work by preparing bills of material and any special kitting instructions. Verify all material, information, tools and labour are available prior to scheduling.
- Determine, identify and manage any vendor delivered service required and provide a total cost estimate for the work to be performed: labor, material, and outside services.
- Obtain and organize all information required for the crafts to perform the work: drawings, vendor manual, supplemental instructional materials, special procedures, and other file material which is appropriate. Supplement this information by preparing any additional sketches, drawings, diagrams, notes, or any instructional material which will clarify the work to be performed.
- Actively participate in scheduling meeting with operations to finalize priority of work orders, optimum downtime windows, and necessary lead times. Work with team leads and production planner to determine resource availability and utilization.
- Finalize the maintenance resource schedule based on agreed plan with production and update the status and assignment of work orders within the CMM system.
- Support the Training Plan by aligning team member schedules with training requirements.
- Provide feedback, coaching and corrective actions for all maintenance employees.
- Provide guidance and direction to support maintenance apprentices including mentoring, training, coaching and support.
- Follow up and communicate schedule to all resources: maintenance, production, outside services and engineering and track the progress of all work assignments.
- Keep accurate metrics on the performance of planning and scheduling functions and provide timely reports to the Engineering & Maintenance Manager.
- Communicates all team member performance issues to the Engineering and Maintenance Manager on a regular basis.
- Support maintenance operations planning to include budgeting for labour, parts and services.

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications
- Must have Valid Red Seal Millwright License (433a).
- Preferred Dual ticket: Industrial Mechanic Millwright and industrial Electrician
