**CAPITAL FAMILY SERVICES- CLINICAL SOCIAL WORKER ROLE**

JOB TITLE: Clinical Social Worker

LANGUAGE: English Essential

HOURS OF WORK: 37.5 Hours per week

About this role:
The Clinical Social Worker will work with youth in specialized placement settings. The objective of this role is to ensure continuity of care and to translate community treatment plan goals into the residential placement setting. This role will include the assessment, development, and implementation of treatment plans, in coordination with other key stakeholders using a Trauma Informed approach and drawing from evidence informed and best practices in mental health care. This role will support stabilization, provide direct mental health intervention and crisis response. The Clinical Social Worker will work both independently and as a member of a collaborative multidisciplinary team. They will support the youth directly as well as the Youth Support Workers providing care in the placement.

The Clinical Social Worker will be responsible for:

- Assessment, development, and facilitation of therapeutic interventions for clients within the placement setting, in collaboration with other members of the youth’s care team.
- Presenting client care recommendations to inter-disciplinary teams, and working collaboratively with all stakeholders to develop individuals care plans for youth.
- Coordinating services and advocating for youth.
- Providing mental health intervention, including stabilization support and crisis intervention support.
- Maintaining clinical records and documentations.

**Qualifications**:

- Must be registered and a member in good standing with the New Brunswick Association of Social Workers.
- Must have knowledge and/or training in Trauma Informed Practice, Complex Developmental Trauma, and Attachment.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team and with stakeholders.
- Must have strong advocacy skills.
- Experience working with children and youth would be an asset.
- Experience working in a mental health setting would be an asset.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: $35.00-$45.00 per hour
