**Job Summary**
The Stylist Assistant supports Studio Gilt’s lead stylists during home staging and destaging projects. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role ideal for someone who enjoys interior design, teamwork, and problem-solving on site. The Stylist Assistant helps ensure every property is styled to Studio Gilt’s high standards — from setup and assembly to the final finishing touches — while working efficiently within set timeframes.

**Responsibilities**
- **Staging Support**_
- Assist the lead stylist with on-site staging setup and décor placement.
- Unpack, organize, and style accessories according to the design plan.
- Assemble and position light to medium furniture (e.g., side tables, chairs, beds).
- Hang artwork and mirrors securely using appropriate tools and hardware.
- Steam, fluff, and prepare bedding, pillows, and têxtiles to showroom standards.
- Perform light cleaning as needed to prepare the property for photography (e.g., wiping surfaces, vacuuming small areas, removing packaging).
- Manage time effectively to meet project deadlines and ensure the property is photo-ready before departure.
- Handle and move décor and furniture carefully to prevent damage.
- **Destaging Support**_
- Assist with safe packing and labeling of décor, artwork, and accessories.
- Disassemble furniture and prepare items for transport.
- Verify all bins and inventory are collected and returned properly.
- Leave the property clean, clear, and ready for client turnover.
- **Logistics & Teamwork**_
- Follow direction from the lead stylist with accuracy and efficiency.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace throughout the project.
- Use hand tools safely and responsibly.
- Communicate any issues, damages, or delays promptly to the lead stylist or management.
- Represent Studio Gilt professionally with a positive, team-oriented attitude.

**Qualifications**
- Experience in home staging, furniture assembly, retail merchandising, or interior design is an asset.
- Comfortable using hand tools (e.g., drill, screwdriver, hammer, level) for assembly and hanging.
- Strong sense of style, spatial awareness, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently under time constraints and adapt to changing site conditions.
- Physically able to lift and move décor bins and small furniture (up to ~50 lbs).
- Reliable, independent transportation and flexibility to travel across the GTA is a requirement.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and punctuality.
- Availability during weekdays as needed.

**Schedule & Compensation**
- Hours vary depending on project load (weekdays, daytime hours).
- Compensation based on experience.
- Contract or casual part-time role with potential for growth during busy seasons.
