In this position, you will be part of a global Infrastructure & Operations Team, interacting regularly with peers in other regions (Americas, EMEA, APAC). **Your Role & Main Responsibilities** - Contribute to the upkeep of the network infrastructure and network services for the global enterprise (over 100 sites worldwide) - Develop master plans and roadmap per technology for long-term network deployment - Planning and designing data communication networks (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, Firewall, SDWAN, Cloud Network, Datacenter) - Improve network solutions and related processes applicable to Cloud resource integrations (Azure, AWS, WAF, etc.) - Improve global network architecture and make recommendations for system findings and enhancements - Lead the evaluation and test new technologies/tools and monitor evolving technologies for possible introduction into the network - Coordinate services and monitoring to prioritize and ensure high network availability performance - Contribute to the planning and support of network security as well as the administration of enterprise firewalls - Contribute to business expansion objectives including setting up new sites globally, and integration of business acquisition sites into CAE’s IT ecosystem - Support periodic operational activities such as enterprise disaster recovery planning and testing as well as ongoing improvement initiatives - Provide technology direction and assist in the preparation of equipment justification, acquisition and IT strategy **Be an inspirational and motivational colleague** - Share knowledge with team members & participate in various learning-sharing activities - Contribute to the collaborative and stimulating work environment - Interest in continuous learning and open to new challenges - Be a change agent & Agile mindset promoter **Your Qualifications** Softskills: - Strong oral and written communication skills in English - Competency in French will be strong asset - Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills - Collaborates well in a team environment - Autonomous - comfortable exercising independent judgment in performing job duties - Ability to interface with IT users (IT administrators and customers) at all levels - Presenting network plans to management staff Technical skills: - Excellent Network skills with LAN, WAN and Core networks - Excellent knowledge of Firewalls, Routers, Switches and Wireless technologies - Excellent knowledge and troubleshooting of Quality of Service (QoS), Load Balancers and WAN Optimizers - Knowledge of the following will be an asset: SDN technologies, Automation & Orchestration - Experience with physical infrastructure planning is an asset (cabling, fiber vaults, etc.) - Degree in technical field with 7 years of experience in Networking - Network Certifications are an asset LI-CL1 LI-hybrid **Position Type** Regular CAE thanks all applicants for their interest.
