**What You’ll Do**:

- **Safety Champion**: Promote and participate in our safety initiatives, striving for our Goal Zero program to ensure a safe working environment for all.
- **Equipment Inspections**: Conduct daily pre/post-trip inspections and ensure timely reporting of any deficiencies to maintain operational efficiency.
- **Conveyor Monitoring**: Monitor and adjust overhead and portable conveyors during loading operations to ensure everything runs smoothly.
- **Maintenance Duties**: Engage in general labor and plant maintenance tasks, assisting with site cleanup and equipment maintenance as needed.
- **Hands-On Repairs**: Utilize your mechanical skills to perform preventative maintenance, including changing rollers and basic electrical controls.
- **Collaborative Teamwork**: Work closely with your team members to contribute to a safe and productive work environment.

**What We’re Looking For**:

- **Team Player**: Ability to work well within a team and also take initiative when working independently.
- **Adaptable Learner**: Willingness to learn new skills and take direction efficiently.
- **Strong Physical Endurance**: Capable of performing heavy manual labour in varying weather conditions.
- **Mechanical Inclination**: Familiarity with tools, machinery, and conveyor systems is a plus, with training available for skid steer operation.

**Qualifications**:

- Valid Class 5 driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous rail knowledge is preferred but not essential.
- Experience with equipment operation, including loaders and skid steers, is advantageous.
- Must reside in or have lodging in Whitecourt, AB

**Working Conditions**:

- Flexibility to work irregular hours, including overtime, nights, and weekends as necessary.
- Outdoor work in various conditions, including inclement weather.
- Comfort with heights (up to 80 feet) and working near trains and water.
- Must meet pre-employment safety requirements, including drug and alcohol testing and mask/respirator fit testing.
