**Job Title**: Internal Auditor
**Job Summary**:
The Internal Auditor will be responsible for conducting audits to review company files, including financial documents, and operational process and procedures. This role ensures compliance with internal policies and external regulations, identifies areas for improvement, flagging any deficiencies, and provides recommendations to enhance operational efficiency and financial reliability.
The Internal Auditor is reliable, dependable, and ethical. Adhering to moral principles and company policies.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Perform audits on financial documents such as invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations
- Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and recommend improvements
- Analyze financial data and prepare detailed audit reports for management
- Identify discrepancies and irregularities in financial records and suggest corrective actions
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure proper documentation and adherence to internal procedures
- Conduct risk assessments and develop audit plans to address key areas of concern
- Monitor and follow up on audit findings to ensure timely resolution
- Stay updated on industry best practices, regulatory changes, and new audit techniques
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field an asset
- Automotive Industry experience an asset
- Proven experience as an Internal Auditor or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of auditing standards, procedures, laws, and regulations
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
