**Responsibilities**:

- Tutors may work between 1 to 6 hours per week based on student enrollment.
- Demonstrated experience in teaching at the high school level.
- Develop engaging and interactive lesson plans tailored to meet the unique needs of each student.
- Thorough understanding of the current Ontario curriculum for Grades 9-12 English.
- Proficient oral communication skills in English.
- Assist students with their homework assignments.
- Support children with their school work and assignments
- Evaluate students' progress and discuss the results with students and/or their parents
- Identify students' individual learning needs and provide support in those areas
- Maintains a growth mindset toward student learning
- Support students to become more confident, more successful, self-directed learners.

Schedule:
Classes are scheduled after 5:30 PM on weekdays and in the morning/afternoon on weekends.

Qualifications:

- Teaching/tutoring experience an asset
- Ability to effectively manage time and schedules
- Excellent communication and multi-tasking skills
- Passion for teaching and working with children of all ages
- Ability to professionally interact with students and parents
