**The Program - Foster Care**

The Enviros Foster Care program provides the best possible care for children at a time of upheaval in their lives by matching a foster home to the needs of the child. When children are unable to remain in their own homes or with family members, Enviros offers Foster Care for children under the age of 18.

Enviros has 72 contracted Foster Care beds. While there is no typical length of stay, Foster Care is not designed to be a permanent placement for children, and ideally, they are returned to parents, or placed with guardians, family members or another more permanent home environment

**The Position - Foster Care Financial Assistant**

The Foster Care Financial Assistant oversees keeping track of the Foster Parent expenses. They will enter data into the excel spreadsheet, prepare expense forms, ensure approvals are in place, track foster parent receipts and match to invoicing and support foster families with accounting process and ensuring they are submitted within the policy guideline.

For Consideration Applicants Will Need to Demonstrate the Following
- An ability to be highly organized, energetic and flexible
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Decision making skills
- Above average attention to detail
- Ability to work independently, as well as be part of a team
- Good computer literacy skills; working knowledge of Excel
- Diploma in Business Administration with focus on accounting and/or Accounting Diploma (equivalencies may be considered)
- Two or more years’ experience in a similar role.
- A current criminal record check including vulnerable sector (completed within the last 6 months)
- A current Alberta Intervention Record check (completed within the last 12 months)

**Duties & Responsibilities (include but are not limited to)**
- Organize and verify foster caregiver invoices
- Enter invoices Excel spreadsheet
- Process and review invoices and receipts; ensure approvals are in place; follow up with CFS for approvals where needed
- Communicate with foster caregivers and foster support workers around invoicing
- Offer support and training for foster families on how to submit their receipts, approvals and invoices
- Tracking of monthly entries using Excel
- Perform special projects as directed

**Salary: $25,000/ annually
