We are seeking a dedicated and experienced **Hygiene Coordinator** to join our exceptional team. This key role requires a proactive individual with strong organizational and communication skills who can manage the daily operations of the hygiene department and ensure optimal patient flow and satisfaction.
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Coordinate and manage the hygiene schedule to ensure maximum productivity and mínimal downtime.
- Confirm hygiene appointments and follow up with patients for recare and overdue visits.
- Serve as the main point of contact for the hygiene team, providing administrative support and ensuring clear communication between hygienists and the front office.
- Monitor and manage hygiene department KPIs (e.g., recare percentage, production goals).
- Collaborate with the clinical team to identify patients in need of preventive or periodontal services and assist with scheduling accordingly.
- Input and maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in ClearDent, including patient notes, recalls, and treatment planning.
- Assist with patient check-in/check-out as needed, providing a smooth and efficient experience.
- Ensure compliance with infection control and privacy policies within the hygiene department.
- Support billing and insurance coordination related to hygiene services.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the office.
**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**:

**Qualifications and Experience**:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a dental administrative role, with at least 2 years focused on hygiene coordination or equivalent.
- Experience as a Dental Hygienist or Level II Dental Assistant is a strong asset.
- Advanced knowledge of ClearDent software is preferred.
- Experience managing recall systems, hygiene scheduling, and insurance billing for preventive and periodontal services.
- Formal training or certification in dental administration, hygiene, or assisting is an asset.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $27.00-$30.00 per hour
