**Emergency Program Manager**:
We are looking for a keen individual to manage our Emergency Program and Emergency Support Services, overseeing the planning and administering of all internal and external resources to address any man-made or natural disaster that may occur in the City. This position will also manage Pitt Meadows Emergency Support Services (ESS), including the volunteers who provide short-term assistance to residents forced to leave their home due to an emergency.
This integral role reports to the Fire Chief, and includes preparedness, mitigation, risk management, response, recovery and business continuity to ensure safety and integration of the City of Pitt Meadows into a disaster resilient community through compliance with legislation and maintaining community partnerships
You have considerable knowledge of Emergency Program planning, Emergency Management BC and the Emergency Program Act, and working knowledge of the Federal regulations associated with emergency planning and emergency response. You are passionate about what you do and have demonstrated the ability to lead with confidence, professionalism and integrity. This role will support the City in complying with its regulatory obligations under this program and support our team and community to be safe and prepared.
If you possess substantial post-secondary training in Emergency Management plus sound related experience, we would like to hear from you.
