Part-time Sanitation

**Position Summary**:
This position is responsible for cleaning in and around the mills and some basic maintenance.

**Key Areas of Responsibility**:

- Clean inside mills around industrial mixers and pelleters, removing dust and debris using vacuum, compressed air and shovel where required
- Remove feed debris from areas around the yard
- Clear snow from building entrances, throw down salt as needed
- Operate scissor lift, forklift and other power equipment
- Perform and assist with confined space entry as required
- Follow all cleaning procedures and guidelines
- Handling large hoses and cleaning equipment
- Performing tasks in various areas of the plant as required
- Must have and maintain first aid certificate

**WFS Organizational Responsibilities**:

- Meet regularly with direct supervisor
- Cooperatively participate with co-workers informally and formally on teams and committees
- Maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive organizational, staff and customer issues
- Be familiar with and adhere to the policies, procedures and processes of WFS
- Positively represent WFS to our customers and the community
- Cooperate with other WFS departments to share information and make efficient use of resources
- Work in a safe manner at all times
- Other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**:

- Good communication skills
- Able to follow instruction with good attention to detail
- Self-motivated and positive attitude
- Must wear personal protective equipment including but not limited to CSA approved safety footwear, eye protection, gloves, and protective clothing
- Positive attitude and safety focus
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision

**Position Details**:

- Exposure to warm/cold temperatures and dusty conditions
- Job requires standing, walking, stooping, climbing
- Working individually and with other team members
- Heavy lifting required up to 60 lbs

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
