**Job Description**:
**OVERVIEW**

Under the authority of the Regional Manager, the Site Manager will supervise, lead and control, in part, operational tasks relating to the Peterborough Yard. They will respond effectively to quality and productivity and health and safety requirements. They will see to the planning of operations and collaborate with management to continuously optimize and improve processes.

The goal is to ensure that operations are carried out productively to ensure profitability and sustainable growth.

**JOB DUTIES**
- Set goals for performance and deadlines in ways that comply with company’s plans and vision and communicate them to subordinates
- Organize workflow and ensure that employees understand their duties or delegated tasks
- Monitor employee productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching
- Maintain timekeeping and personnel records
- Pass on information from upper management to employees and vice versa
- Prepare and submit performance reports
- Ensure adherence to legal and company policies and procedures
- Undertake disciplinary actions if the need arises
- Work as hands-on manager

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience as supervisor will be considered an asset
- Experience in metal scrap industry will be considered an asset
- Knowledge of different commercial trucks and forklifts
- Ability to learn a variety of job descriptions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
- Good knowledge of Outlook, MS Office, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel
- Always strives for excellence and constant improvement

**HEALTH AND SAFETY**
- Must work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Regulation and follow in accordance with AIM’s Health and Safety policies and procedures
- Responsible for reporting all accidents, illnesses, or ‘near miss’ incidents to management

**HOURS OF WORK**
- Permanent full-time position
- 44 hours per week, able to work extended hours/weekends when deemed necessary
