**SUMMARY OF FUNCTION**

As an Activity Worker at Fred Douglas Lodge, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our senior residents. Under the direction of the Manager of Resident Experience, you will be responsible for assessing their leisure needs, developing, implementing, and delivering Resident Care Programs that promote physical, emotional, and social well-being.

Join our dedicated team and make a positive impact in the lives of our residents.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Must have strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with coworkers, residents, families, and the public.
- A Therapeutic Recreation Facilitator for Older Adults Certificate (preferred).
- A Minimum (1) year related experience working with residents in a long-term care facility.
- Hold a valid MB Drivers’ License.
- A current Criminal Record Check for the Vulnerable Sector and Adult Abuse Registry check.

**PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS**:
Position involves extensive physical activity such as prolonged standing, bending, pushing, pulling and lifting and includes equipment set up and resident portering. Position involves exposure to animals and birds.

**Job Type**: Part-time
