The Shipper/Receiver at Freudenberg Flow Technologies’ Nisku, Alberta location plays a key role in ensuring the efficient and safe handling of incoming and outgoing materials. This position is responsible for maintaining a safe work environment, adhering to company safety protocols, and supporting incident reporting and investigations. The role also involves accurate documentation, timely customer deliveries, and safe operation of material handling equipment such as forklifts. RECEIVER/SHIPPER **Responsibilities**: - Operate forklifts to move, locate, stack, load, and unload merchandise within the plant and onto trucks/trailers in the yard. - Package products according to customer specifications. - Verify accuracy and condition of inbound and outbound shipments; report any quality variances. - Safely unload inbound shipments and store merchandise efficiently in designated areas. - Manage inventory using SAP ByDesign and assist with physical inventory counts. - Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and standards; complete all required documentation. - Prepare shipping documents such as work orders, bills of lading, and shipping orders. - Conduct daily visual inspections to ensure equipment is in good working condition. - Maintain a safe work environment by using required PPE and following safety protocols. - Support the Quality Management System by adhering to documented processes and procedures. **Qualifications**: - 2-3 years of shipping/receiving experience preferred. - Strong forklift operation skills with completion of a certified training program. - Above-average computer proficiency and ability to learn new software systems. - Effective oral and written communication skills across all levels of the organization. - Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. - Solid understanding of Occupational Health & Safety, WHMIS, and TPM standards.Demonstrated leadership qualities including: - Promoting a positive and collaborative work environment. - Participating in team-based activities and continuous improvement initiatives. - Supporting cross-training and skill development. - Celebrating team successes and encouraging peer growth. - Modeling respectful, responsible, and consistent behavior.
