**About the Role**

We are currently seeking an experienced, thorough, insightful cost controller to oversee cost management for Phase 2 Plant Project and reporting to the Central Cost Lead.

- Provide critical assessment of all budgets and cost projections
- Analyze invoices to ensure correct products/services were received at the expected cost
- Collaborate with department heads to strategize ways to optimize fund.
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the interdependency of cost drivers
- Develop and implement proactive solutions and cost benefit approach Collaborate with department heads to identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend measures to reduce expenses
- Monitor the company's expenses and create ways to reduce costs
- Analyze financial statements to determine possible improvements and develop strategies to optimize cost-effectiveness
- Conduct periodic checks and alignment with Finance and assist in the Prepare and present financial reports to management to aid decision-making processes.
- preparation of the annual budget
- Perform cost-benefit analyses on prospective projects and provide recommendations on their financial feasibility
- Presenting cost analysis results to management and making recommendation
- Working closely with management to understand and control costs
- Providing recommendations for cost efficiency to upper management
- Coordinating and implementing audits to ensure compliance with financial regulations

**To be successful, you will have**:

- Be legally entitled to work in Canada (i.e., by way of Canadian citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work permit)
- Bachelor's degree in finance or relevant field strongly preferred
- Minimum 10+years' experience working in cost control in large to mega projects
- Strong understanding of cost control procedures
- User of SAP PS/PM Modules.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Fully versed with SAP System principles and techniques.
- Possesses good interpersonal skills
- Proactive and able to work independently.
- Must be a strong user of SAP
