**Job Title**: Specialised Educator (Support & Replacement Role) - April to August 2025

**Location**: Centre of Dreams and Hopes (9825 rue Verville, Montreal)

**Job Type**: Temporary, Part-Time (4 days/week)
**Schedule**: Tuesday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM
**Contract Duration**: April 2025 to August 2025

**About the Role**:
We are currently seeking a flexible, compassionate, and neurodivergent-affirming **Specialised Educator** to join our Alternative Education program for **adults aged 21 and over**. This role runs from **April to August 2025** and involves providing both **in-class support** and **temporary replacement for lead educators**.

Our program supports **neurodivergent adults** (including those who are Autistic, ADHD, etc.) in a learner-centered, inclusive, and non-traditional educational environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide **supportive coverage** for educators when they are absent.
- Collaborate with educators to offer **in-class assistance**, including one-on-one or small group support.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment that **celebrates neurodiversity**.
- Adapt communication and engagement approaches to support students with various learning profiles.
- Assist with classroom routines, community-based learning, and self-directed projects.
- Help create an affirming and empowering space that centers the needs and experiences of neurodivergent learners.

**Who You Are**:

- You are experienced in working with **neurodivergent individuals** in educational or support settings.
- You value **autonomy, dignity, and collaborative learning**.
- You understand or are eager to learn about **neurodivergent-affirming practices** and trauma-informed care.
- You’re adaptable, dependable, and able to move between support and lead roles as needed.

**Requirements**:

- Special eduaction, Psychology, and related fields
- Experience in adult education, alternative learning environments, or neurodivergent support is highly valued.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset, depending on program location.

**Job Type**: Seasonal
Contract length: 5 months

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 26 per week

Flexible language requirement:
