**Job Summary**

**Responsibilities**
- Conduct thorough examinations of animals to assess their health and diagnose medical conditions.
- Develop and implement treatment plans for various medical conditions and injuries.
- Perform surgical procedures as needed, ensuring the highest standards of care and safety.
- Administer vaccinations and preventive care treatments to pets.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their animals' health, treatment options, and preventive care.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for all patients treated.
- Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure efficient clinic operations.
- Stay updated on advancements in veterinary medicine and best practices.

**Experience**
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid veterinary license in Nova Scotia.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred; new graduates are also encouraged to apply.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their pets.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment.
