The Financial Manager for Operations is responsible for the financial and operational reporting of the Warehouse Group restaurant division. This position works with the leadership team, department heads and the financial planning and analysis team and ensures the highest level of integrity and compliance. This role frequently handles highly confidential financial information.

**Responsibilities**:

- Review lead Accountants period and quarterly financial submissions
- Manage, train and support the accounting team in the day to day functions
- Manage the workflow of restaurant accounting tasks and implement work flow improvements when needed.
- Ensure informative reports are created and disseminated on a timely basis.
- Manage weekly/semimonthly meetings with the accounting team
- Maintain financial staff job results by coaching, counseling and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
- Lead and support payroll department with bi-weekly payroll submissions.
- Support the Controller in the overall accounting goals.
- Assist in the formulation of internal controls and policies to comply with legislation and establish best practices.
- Liaising with other departments when required

**Reporting to the Controller**

**Skills**:~ Excellent written and verbal grammar and communication skills;
~ Quick learner and adaptable to an ever-changing environment;
~ Strong organizational skills and time management - excellent at multi-tasking, coordinating and prioritizing;
~ Strong problem solving and decision making skills, proactive and solution-oriented;
~ Natural analytical skills and propensity to work with numbers;
~ Ability and willingness to accept and provide feedback.

**Requirements**:
~ Minimum of 5+ years of full cycle accounting experience

~ Experience in managing a team and work flow

~ Post-secondary education in Accounting

~ Solid understanding of Canadian and US GAAP

~ Proficient with Microsoft Office Software

~ Experience with Netsuite

~ Effective communication skills with individuals at the organization and the suppliers

~ Detail oriented individual with ability to multitask

~ Able to successfully work individually or as an effective member of a team

~ Able to work under pressure and meet set deadlines

~ Strong organizational, time management and prioritizing skills

~ Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
