**True North Sports + Entertainment is seeking a skilled and reliable individual with strong leadership qualities to join our team** in the role of**Venue Security Operations Specialist**.**

The **Venue Security Operations Specialist** will lead the Security team to directly oversee security operations and technology infrastructure for our premier venues, including Canada Life Centre, Burton Cummings Theatre, hockey for all centre and other True North Sports + Entertainment (TNSE) holdings. The duties also include developing security protocols and ensuring compliance with regulations while fostering a safe, welcoming atmosphere for fans, employees, and guests.

**What to be excited for in this role**:

- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Venue Security Guards consisting of full-time and casual employees while fostering a culture of professionalism and excellence.
- Manage security policies, procedures, scheduling, and training programs to sustain seamless operations.
- Serve as an Emergency Response Director and take charge during critical moments.
- Oversee technology, assess systems for efficiency and cost, and implement innovative solutions, including but not limited to CCTV, access control, and radio communication.
- Conduct risk assessments, mitigate vulnerabilities, and implement best practices to promote safety.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, bylaws, and industry standards, including NHL Arena Security Standards.
- Manage security budgeting, reporting, and documentation to enable operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to maintaining best practices.

**What we need from you**:

- At least 5 years of experience in leadership or management positions.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to guide large and diverse teams.
- Thorough knowledge of security systems, including CCTV, fire alarms, access control, and wireless communication.
- Strong strategic thinking along with communication abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, personal organization, and superior attention to detail.
- Ability to exhibit discretion and confidentiality as required when dealing with confidential information.
- Proven ability to prioritize competing demands in a diverse and evolving environment, independently managing deadlines and corresponding workload.
- Adaptability to the fast-paced nature of venue security.
- Availability to be on call 24/7 and work evenings or weekends as required.
- Eligibility for a Manitoba Security Guard License.
- Completion of a Diploma or Degree in Sports Management, Business/Administration, Criminology, Justice or other relevant discipline is considered an asset.
