Accountabilities:
- Assisting patients with activities of daily living, repositioning, mobilization and transport
- Ordering supplies
- Daily restocking of supplies in patient care rooms and supply storage areas
- Maintain and distribute departmental monitoring equipment
- Transporting patient specimens to the pneumatic tube
- Contributing to the maintenance of a safe work environment
**Qualifications**
- Personal Support Worker certificate required from an accredited institution
- Basic knowledge of aseptic techniques
- Current CPR
- Recent related experience working with geriatric and rehabilitation type populations required
- Experience collaborating with an inter-professional team
- Ability to adjust patient care practices based on inter-professional recommendations
- Recent experience working in a highly technical patient care environment
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and comprehension skills
- Flexibility to meet unit needs
- Ability to work well with team members
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of Meditech system
- Excellent attendance, punctuality and work record
- Must demonstrate Osler's Values of Respect, Excellence, Service, Compassion, Innovation and Collaboration
- Ability to travel between and work at all Osler sites as required
- Able to handle the physical requirements of the job (ability to lift at least 25-30 lbs)
**Additional Information**
Minimum: $28.53 per hour
Maximum: $29.12 per hour
