Milton, Canada Romac Metal Works Full time

Romac Metal Works is growing. We are seeking a professional individual to provide CNC set up support and mange our tool crib operations within a safety first, air conditioned environment.

This full time, permanent position involves:

- Working closely with Manufacturing Engineer to ensure successful tool setter operations including printing tool lists, making adjustments, updates and revision changes to tool lists
- Building toolset as per tool lists and delivering to machinist
- Touching off toolsets on pre-setter, per instruction
- Reviewing stock, re-ordering tools and putting new tools away
- Keep inventory counts (while stocking and retrieving)
- Additional tool crib attendant duties - managing replacement tooling and consumables and keeping crib tidy
- Replace and retrieve fixtures on shelving
- Manage fixture database
- Collect non-resident tools when job is complete for return to crib
- Disassemble tooling and restock
- Assess tools for repair and resharpening and send out for rework
- Report damaged, worn out, or missing equipment
- Providing support to machinists during job set up and tear down
- Assist with basic machine maintenance and upkeep

**Requirements**:

- Completion of high school or high school equivalency
- Experience in a 5S environment
- Minimum of 3 years knowledge of cutting tools, holders and measuring tools
- Computer experience required to create purchase orders, interact with suppliers, track and maintain inventory
- Good verbal and written communication and willingness to learn
- Ability to lift 50lbs and to climb ladders
- Experience with lift trucks and overhead cranes is an asset
- Previous CNC machining or set up experience is an asset
