**Position: Lead Compositor (Nuke)**

**Location: Vancouver, British Columbia (working remotely within the province of BC)**

**Facility: Crafty Apes**

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Overseeing compositing and script organization to ensure continuity for series of shots.
- Designing artistic look of shots with VFX Supervisor.
- Prioritizing work and distributing client notes in conjunction with Production.
- Accurately bidding and creating methodologies with VFX Producer.
- Suggesting workflow approaches when delegating shots to team.
- Reviewing work in progress with artists.
- Completing shots on a Senior Compositor level as needed.
- Competently using Nuke delivering photo-real work in a feature, television episodic, and commercial style schedule.
- Displaying a strong sense of color, color-space and lighting.
- Effectively juggling many shots at once while being efficient with time.
- Problem-solving effectively.
- Demonstrating an ability to be technically savvy.
- Taking direction from, and working closely with, the VFX Supervisor.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- BA/BS preferred.
- Minimum 7 years of experience as a compositor in episodic, commercial or feature VFX.
- Extensive knowledge of 2D and 3D packages.
- Proficient in Nuke, Photoshop, Boujou/Syntheyes/Mocha, Primatte/Keylight/Ultimatte.
- Knowledge of 3D particle systems, Fusion, and AfterEffects.
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to influence and coach others by communicating and promoting a positive team environment.
- Must demonstrate the ability to organize, prioritize, and be extremely detail oriented while working under high pressure with short deadlines.
