As CREATE. continues to evolve and grow, we are looking for an experienced **Construction Labourer**. CREATE. labourers provide reliable and effective support carrying out a variety of duties and tasks associated with the project. Labourers are essential to achieving project results and contribute to daily success on-site.

Day to day responsibilities of the Construction Labourer include:

- Must have a vehicle and driver’s license
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools, including drills, forklifts, skid loaders and other tools as directed by management.
- Clean and prepare construction sites as needed, including erecting scaffolding, removing and properly disposing of debris and waste materials, and digging trenches.
- Report safety violations or incidents immediately to foreman or safety officer, in accordance with incident reporting procedures established by the company.
- Shovel materials to and from construction areas, including asphalt and dirt.
- Maintain a safe and clean job site by handling materials and storing them properly, picking up and removing all tools and equipment when not in use, and securing the job site on a daily basis.
- Load and unload construction supplies from trucks both manually and with the use of equipment.
- Report safety violations or incidents immediately to the Foreman or safety officer, in accordance with incident reporting procedures and as established by the company.

What we’re looking for on the resume:

- Minimum two (2) years experience on commercial construction projects. Interior improvements and ground up build experience is an asset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs such as Word and Excel, and Autodesk Build
- Proficiency with Microsoft Teams and/or Zoom
- Excellent organizational, presentation and interpersonal skills
- Up to date Safety Certificates

In the interview process we’ll be looking for:

- Understanding of construction terms
- Strong understanding and belief in the OHSA & practice
- Ability to break down problems & manage conflict by effectively dealing with issues in a professional manner
- Able to proactively seek solutions and escalate issues when needed
- A willingness to take feedback and grow (not wilt)
- The ability to be a pro-active self-starter with the ability to think ahead and plan work accordingly
