Flair Airlines is currently seeking a permanent, full-time **Crew Scheduler **to join our growing and ever-changing organization. The Crew Scheduler is responsible for coordinating Pilots and Cabin crews to keep Flight Operations fully staffed and flights on time. The Crew Scheduler must consider a variety of factors when managing a crew member's schedule and must be able to make decisions under stressful conditions.
**Primary Job Functions**:
The duties of the **Crew Scheduler** **include:
- Continuously audit, modify, and verify legalities to cover all scheduled flights.
- Ensuring that flight crew duty hours and days worked are maintained within legal limits as determined by the Transport Canada CARs regulations and FRMS principles.
- Scheduling and monitoring all flight crews in accordance with Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs), Company Operations Manual (COM), Fatigue Risk Management System (FRMS), Pilot and Cabin crew contractual agreements, policies, and procedures.
- Effective use of crew utilization, productivity, and transparency by the best practice of decision-making abilities
- Coordinating within the Systems Operations Control Center (SOCC) during daily flight operations management and in times of Irregular Operations (IROPS) to resolve and recover the rescheduled flights.
- Book and monitor crew travel and accommodation requirements, focusing on the efficiency of the flight schedule and cost control.
- Ensuring all communications to crew, members, are clear, concise, and completed in a professional and timely manner.
- Ensuring sick calls, absences, late and no-show crew are recorded in accordance with company and regulatory policies and procedures
- Utilizing a variety of Company software programs efficiently and correctly to perform assignments, update and log changes, and conduct research.
**Safety Duties, Accountabilities, Authorities and Responsibilities**:
- Proactive and reactive reporting of safety issues
- Demonstrate knowledge of employee responsibilities regarding safety and actively participate in the company’s Safety Management System (SMS) program
- Conduct assigned tasks and corrective actions
- Encourage active participation in the SMS for all personnel
**Qualifications and Education Requirements**:
- High school or GED equivalent.
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience working in a fast-paced work environment is preferred.
- A minimum of two (2) years of customer service experience is preferred.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook) is essential.
- Make effective decisions regarding scheduling and customer requirements for charters and other flights.
- Previous Airline Operations Centre or Airport Operations experience is an asset.
- Clear criminal record check.

- Ability to maintain composure under pressure with time-sensitive priorities.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and maintain an organized workflow.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
- Demonstrated analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Crew Schedulers must be contactable on a 24-hour, 7-day-a-week basis as per the shift schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
