Summary

As a prep cook you will assist cooks for their station in the kitchen, preparing food in a professional manner as well as collaborating with other staffs in the restaurant to ensure a smooth operation on a day to day basis. Including preparation of food, maintaining appetizer/main/dessert station, working with the POS, keep the BOH area clean, catering to guests needs, inventory management, and assisting in events. At the same time, you should be able to multi-task and get dishes washed efficiently, including kitchen appliances, fragile porcelain, wine glasses and other equipment.

As a prep cook at Mattarello some of your key duties and responsibilities would include:

- Knowledge of all menu items
- Cooking and preparing of food
- Keeping the restaurant space clean and organized
- Polishing and distributing glassware and flatware

As a dishwasher at Mattarello some of your key duties and responsibilities would include:

- ensure that dishes, cutlery, and cookware are washed and sanitized

keeping the kitchen clean and organized

Experience and Skillset Preferred:

- Previous experience as a prep cook/ dishwasher, preferably in an Italian restaurant
- Knowledge of Italian cuisine
- Demonstrates excellent cooking skills
- Being able to adapt and work in a very fast paced environment

- 1 year experience in hospitality
