**Summer Internship Opportunities** **Are you looking to have fun and gain hands on work experience this summer?** If you are a college or university student who will be returning to school in September 2025 and are looking for experience in supporting people with disabilities, we have several paid summer internship positions open at our residential supported living programs around Ottawa. **Your main duties will be supporting young adults with a variety of developmental and physical disabilities in a home setting. You will be integral in the day to day lives of our clients and developing their life skills while providing quality care. Help foster lifelong friendships and community connections.** The internship is from **April or May 2025, until August 16, 2025,** and has a guarantee of 35 hours per week with a rotation of: Sundays to Thursdays 2pm-10pm, or Tuesdays to Saturdays 2pm-10pm; depending upon the work location. **Some of the duties are as follows**: - Support individuals with daily living as required including, but not limited to, personal care-including showering, toileting, care of personal items etc. and teaching basic skills such as meal preparation, nutrition, finances, housekeeping, laundry, and shopping. - Participate, implement, and support all Individual Support Plans and Behaviour Protocols to ensure the health, safety, and welfare of all individuals. - Facilitating fun and inclusive recreational and/or social activities. **Qualifications**: - Previous work experience or education program enrollment/completion an asset. - Access to a vehicle an asset as some locations are NOT bus accessible. - Must be returning to school in September 2025 - Must have current valid CPR/First Aid training - Clear Vulnerable Sector Criminal Check - Must be available to work shifts as described above. - Access to a vehicle required for our Munster, Greely and Navan locations as they are not accessible by public transit **WHY JOIN US?** - Fun and challenging work environment - come and make a positive difference - Weekend shift premiums - Learning and career advancement opportunities - "Partners In Parenting is a culturally sensitive, community-based organization.
