**310T/J Truck Lic. - Garage Supervisor**

Groupe Robert (Mississauga Terminal) is looking for a skilled **310T/J licensed Supervisor **to maintain and over see a team of Licensed and Apprentice Mechanics. Reporting to the Direct or Fleet, the Garage
Supervisor, will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the shop and the team; you must act.
You are not afraid to roll up your sleeves and assist on the floor.

The garage Supervisor plans and ensures the proper operational efficiency, quality of work, proper use of equipment, working climate to always improve internal customer satisfaction and contribute to the profitability of the company. The Supervisor must act as 4 roles: Leader, sector leader, communicator, and coach.

**Responsibilities**
- Directly supervise and coordinate the activities of mechanics, installers, and repairers.
- Advise internal customers on recommended services.
- Monitor/Assess performance of yourself, other individuals, to make improvements or take corrective action.
- Manage your own time and the time of others, lead by example.
- Critical Thinking - Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
- Quality Control Analysis - Conducting tests and inspections of facility, services, or processes to evaluate quality and performance.
- Service Orientation - Actively looking for ways to help your team.
- Management of Material Resources - Obtaining and seeing to the appropriate use of equipment, facilities, and materials needed to do certain work.
- Troubleshooting - Determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it.
- Equipment Maintenance - Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed.
- Management of Financial Resources - Determining how money will be spent to get the work done, and accounting for these expenditures.
- Complex Problem Solving - Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
- Management of Personnel Resources - Motivating, developing, and directing team as they work, identifying the best people for the job.

**Skills**
- 3-7 years of supervisory experience (a must) in a garage/shop
- High level Computer knowledge
- Effective communicating and writing for the needs of the team
- Active Listening - Giving full attention to what the team are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
- Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electronic components of tractors
- Working knowledge of diagnostic systems and methods
- Up-to-date knowledge of Ministry regulations
- Proven experience as tractor/trailer mechanic

**310T/J Truck Lic. - Garage Supervisor**
- Ability to handle various tools (e.g. pliers) and heavy equipment (e.g. lift)
- Willingness to observe all safety precautions for protections against accidents, dangerous fluids, chemicals etc.
- Must be in good physical condition and capable of complete all tasks which requires lifting heavy objects.
- 310T/J Licensed Mechanic with valid certification
- High school diploma is preferred; Certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship is require.
