**Ground Service Equipment Support Technician, Part-time (Edmonton)**

Our Edmonton location is seeking a Ground Service Equipment (GSE) Support Technician to support our diverse operations.

**Main Functions**:
The Ground Service Equipment Support Technician reports to the Main Terminal Operations Supervisor. The GSE Support Technician works to assist with the maintenance of GSE equipment and to coordinate the timely repair and return of all equipment from the maintenance provider.

**Responsibilities**:

- Promptly respond to and action equipment service requests.
- Handle daily refuelling and fluid checks on fleet of GSE Equipment
- GSE Equipment, (Monthly/PMs/Breakdown Repairs/Periodic Inspections/Preventative Maintenance).
- Diagnose potential vehicle malfunctions for the purpose of determining needed vehicle repairs and/or replacements.
- Perform visual and operational checks on equipment and report obvious defects to maintenance and operational departments.
- Ensure proper safety precautions are observed and respond to emergency situations for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns.
- Coordinate repairs with the maintenance service provider; ensure service requests are being tracked and followed up on regularly.
- Maintain a tidy and orderly work area exhibiting pride in work performance and contributing to a healthy and safe work environment.
- Ensure exceptional, courteous and respectful customer service through compliance and participation in the Company’s Step Up to Customer Service Program.
- Comply with and participate in the Company’s Health & Safety and Quality programs and initiatives.
- Perform any other duties as required.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Mechanical aptitude.
- At least 1 year of experience performing minor automotive maintenance (fluid checks and changes).
- Knowledge of Automotive and gasoline engines would be an asset.
- Must have clean / valid driver’s license with clean abstract
- Airport security clearance is a condition of employment. (RAIC)
- Able to lift up to 60 lbs in confined spaces and independently.
- Able to stand, lift, bend, push and pull for extended periods of time.
- Willing to work outside in all types of weather and elevated noise levels within the airport environment.
- Knowledge of facility up keep and repairs.
- Able to work flexible and extended hours, weekends and holidays if required.
- Professional, punctual, meticulous and diligent.
- Able to work collaboratively as a productive member of the EFC Team.
