**Job description** **Truck Driver** **POSITION OVERVIEW** Our company is looking for truck drivers with a minimum of 3 years G driving licence and experience. "D-Z Licence is a plus." We are located in North York at Norfinch Dr. **RESPONSIBILITIES**: - Proactively delivering products to various customers and businesses in the GTA and surrounding areas - Reviewing ordered products before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete and up to customer satisfaction - Assisting with loading and unloading of items from and to the vehicles - Adhering to assigned routes and following time schedules - Promoting safe driving practices, abiding by all transportation laws, and maintaining a safe driving record - Daily customer interaction through answering questions and handling complaints from clients - Daily submission and completion of all required documentation in an accurate fashion - Collecting and accepting payments for invoiced products - Perform other duties as assigned by the warehouse manager **QUALIFICATIONS**: - Valid G class driver's licence with a minimum of 3 years and clean driver abstract. "D-Z Licence is a plus." - 3-year letter of experience from the previous insurance company. - High School diploma or equivalent - 2 or more years of warehouse and delivery experience, wood industry experience is a + - Licensed to drive forklifts with 1 or more years of experience - Ability to lift 50+ pounds and assist other personnel with heavier loads - Fluency with speaking, reading, and writing in English - Excellent customer service and teamwork skills - Accuracy and attention to detail and the ability to detect the presence of a quality issue - Must be punctual and flexible to work occasional overtime including weekends - Driving forklifts with a license is an asset - Knowledge of inventory software is an asset **WE OFFER**: - Comfortable work setting and conditions - Cordial and friendly atmosphere - Growth opportunity **Benefits**: - On-site parking **Schedule**: - 8 hour shift - Monday to Friday **Work Location**:On the road **Education**: - Secondary School (preferred) **Experience**: - driver: 3 years (required) - delivery driver: 2 years (preferred) Flexible language requirement: - French not required Application question(s): - Do you have a commercial heavy vehicle driver experience letter from your insurance company? **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent **Benefits**: - Casual dress - On-site parking Flexible language requirement: - French not required Schedule: - Monday to Friday - Weekends as needed Work Location: In person
